Why back up your data ?
Can you
afford to lose all that stored music or tax information? More and
more people rely on storing their important information from music
they have bought and downloaded to the recipes they found on the
Internet. If you do not want aggravation of recovering lost
information you have stored then you should look into a backup
solution.
How do I back up my data?
You can use solutions such as writing DVD's and CD's to store
your data on. External hard drives are another solution to backing up
important information. External drives have moving parts just like a
normal hard drives. They are just as vulnerable to a surge or failure
as a regular hard drive is. One of the best and simplest solutions to
backing up data is using a USB Key. The size of storage ranges
anywhere from 256mb on up to 16gb. One reason to use a USB key over
normal CD or DVD backup is that you do not have to worry about
scratches on the USB key. They are very durable and I myself have
even sent them into the washing machine a time or two without loosing
any data from them ( not recommended to do). They do not have moving
parts like a normal hard drive solution.
Don't wait to back that important
information up, if you do you may find yourself wishing you had taken
our advice and saved yourself the aggravation of trying to recover
that lost information
