The Cabbage Palm Tree

The Sabal Palm in Florida looks like a circle from a distance. It grows by a limb or fan we call it, from the very center and looks like as sword as it grows about three or four feet before it unfolds like a hand and shades the fruit on a coconut palm, or a date palm. The cabbage palm, you eat the head as they call it here in Florida, and Spiritually speaking, means Christ. The leaves are shaped like a pyramid, and I have cut one off in a rainstorm, and kept dry. You can cut this trunk down and put it as a post in the salt water where the bugs will eat cypress or oak, but will not eat the palm tree trunk. You can make brushes out of the fiber in the trunk, and the limbs. If you cut it down, the stump or roots will not sprout like an oak tree, to show the palm tree is in the type of a Christian, and the oak tree as a sinner. You can pass your sinner birth to your children, but not your Christian birth. The natural types the Spiritual. I want to see God everywhere I look, and in all That I see. So the Christian grows with the Sword, just like the Palm tree does.
