And now, there's no one, Brother Jaggers, Brother Roberts, or myself, or
no one else, that can heal another person. There's none of us claim to. We
don't heal people. We only try to get them to look to the Man that's already
healed them: Jesus Christ, and get them to accept it by faith, and that settles
it.
When He... When Jesus healed them
back there... I believe that every sick person was healed when Jesus died at
Calvary. I believe I can prove that by the Bible. That by His stripes, we were
(past time, tense,), we were healed. And every sinner in the world was forgiven
when Jesus died at Calvary. But it'll never do you any good until you accept
it. See? You've got to accept it, then it becomes your personal property. Then
you could get down here at the altar; you wouldn't necessarily have to come,
but I believe in altars. Get down at the altar, you could cry; you could pray;
you could walk up and down the altar; you could pull your hair, and--and just
go on, but that ain't what saves you. Now, I believe in all of that. Yes, sir.
But that isn't what saves you. You'll never be saved, until you believe. Is
that right?

Just like if every one time, by the working of the Holy Spirit, God
reveals to you that Jesus Christ died in your stead and it's Him knocking at
your heart's door, something happens down here in that little heart, it's over.
You believe it?
We have altar calls and bring
people up around the altar. That's a--a good tradition of the church, but in
the Bible time, "As many as believed on the Lord..." just accepted
Him, wherever He was. "As many as believed, was saved.
They had no altar calls. That first
originated in the Methodist, around the early Methodist church is coming to the
altar. It's a good thing. We should never let it go. Keep it up. I think it's a
good thing. Come out there, pour your heart out before God. That's the way to
do it. But really, that isn't what saves you. You could stay there at the
altar, and pray all night long, cry, walk up-and-down the altar. You could do
every penance you could. You could sell everything you got and give to the
poor. You could go on a fast for forty days and get so--so wore out from
fasting till you just couldn't walk, and never do you any good, until first,
you accept... That's it. It's your part. God's did His part. Now, you do your
part, just a simple thing of believing it. And when you believe it, that
settles it forever.

Now, that's the Gospel, friends, as clear as I know it. Now, it's the
individual. Now, maybe say, "Well, what's the use in preaching?" That's
what a minister's for. God sent preachers to preach the Word. When you hear It,
search it, see it's the truth, accept it. Now, the preacher doesn't save you.
His message doesn't save you. Your personal faith in a risen Lord Jesus is what
saves you. No matter how much you'd cry. How loud you would holler. How much
you would take on. It'll never save you until you believe it with all your
heart, and stand up, and confess it. For He's the High Priest of our
confession, Hebrews 3, or what we confess He's the High Priest to make
intercessions upon what we confess is the truth.
Anything that was included in the
atonement is the personal property of every believer. When a man gets saved or
a women, boy, or girl, God gives them a check book, as it was, with Jesus' Name
at the bottom of every check for anything redemptive blessing that Jesus died
for. It's your personal property. Don't be afraid to fill it out. The bank of
heaven will recognize it.
Jesus said, "Whatsoever things
you desire when you pray, believe you receive it. Whatever you ask the Father
in My Name that I will do," the unlimited unsearchable riches of Jesus
Christ in that promise.

You know the reason I ask? You know why you raised your hand? Anybody
else wants to raise their hand? I want to tell you something. If God's speaking
to you, raise your hand. I'll tell you why He's talking to you. It's a point
that I want to make.
Another sinner raise your hand,
say, "Brother Branham, I would sure like to be there. I'd like to eat that
manna, just see what the goodness of the Lord is. Oh, I know I belong to
church. I've went there a long time. But as far as being saved, I never have.
I'll just... I--I'm not fooling myself; I got to live with myself. I have a
little confession: Oh, I said I believe Jesus is the Son of God, but I know
devils say the same thing."
Devils beg for mercy, beg for
peace, beg not to be punished, and recognize Him, and confess before the crowd
that He was the Son of the living God. That's right. That don't save you, no
sir. The application of the Blood of Jesus to you heart is what saves you.
Truly it is.

When the witch of Endor called up the spirit of Samuel, he was still in
his prophet robe, and he was still a prophet. He told her what would happen the
next day. Certainly. Death doesn't change a man; it just changes his dwelling
place. If you're a sinner when you die here, an unbeliever... Oh, you might be
a loyal church member. But if you die in your unbelief, there's nothing left
for you but to be condemned. If you die in faith, that's what saves you. Your
faith has saved you. You've got to go to Eternal Life, because it's Eternal
Life that's your faith in God, the same thing.
May the Lord grant tonight that He
will bless us now in these next few moments of the remaining part of the
meeting.

But he hated Abel. He thought Abel was a holy-roller. He hasn't changed
his opinion. He thought Abel was a religious fanatic. And he still believes it,
that his formal ideas and his culture of his own thing is better than the
baptism of the Holy Ghost. But he's wrong. Absolutely wrong. I don't care how
well his choir can sing, or how good his preacher can preach; without the
shedding of Blood, there's no remission of sin. Back to God's plan. Back to the
Bible.
God has a way, but man don't want
to come to it. Man said, "Now, look. I'm as good as you are. I go to
church. I pay my dues at the church." And he wants to be religious. And
that's all right. But he's religious...
But, you see, the nature of the
earthly man is religious. Cain was religious. Satan is religious. Religion
isn't what saves you; it's the Blood of Jesus Christ what saves you. And that's
God's only grounds that He will meet you on for worship. Other's in vain.

Now, I've always said: If a man's a Catholic, and he's depending on the
Catholic church for salvation, he's lost. And if he's a Baptist and depending
on the Baptist church for salvation, he's lost. If he's Pentecostal and
depending on the Pentecostal church for salvation, he's lost.
But if he's a Catholic and
depending on Jesus Christ, he's saved by faith, his own faith. If he's a
Baptist, or Pentecostal, and looking to Jesus Christ for salvation... For it's
by faith are you saved, and that through grace of God. That's right. Your
personal faith in Jesus Christ is what saves you.

Now, God called him by election, give him the covenant in Genesis the
12th chapter (Now, we want to remember that.), and called a total separation
from all the things of the world. Now, Abraham did not obey God.
Now, I'm going to call that. Now,
if there... If I speak one word here this afternoon, that's against anybody's
belief, well now, you just don't get up and go out, 'cause that shows your
raising. See? But just... It... Let me say this. I believe if a man is a
Catholic, and he's depending on the Catholic church for salvation, he's lost. I
believe if a man belongs to the Catholic church and is depending on Jesus
Christ for salvation, he's saved. If he's a Baptist, or a Pentecostal, and depending
on the church for salvation, he's lost. If he's depending on Jesus Christ, he's
saved; because by faith are you saved through grace. See, it's you're--you're
personal faith in Christ is what saves you. And no church can save you. No
organization can save you. No group of people can save you. It's Christ and Him
alone that you're saved.
And so, you must keep that in mind.
So now, if I strike a denomination this afternoon, or something that
belong--that you belong to, please just set quiet here a little bit, till I
make this point for the people, if you will.

So in the Deity of Jesus Christ, if the Lord God could come there and
confirm that that is the truth, not only that, but by His Word He confirms it's
the truth, and by signs and wonders He confirms it's the truth. Then, also,
grace is the truth. Then why could anyone criticize and say that grace is
wrong, that we're saved by works? We are saved by grace, that through faith,
not by works. Works shows that you have been saved. But what saves you is the
grace of God. Grace saves you. Grace is what God does for you. Works is what
you do for God to show appreciation of what God did for you. But by grace are
you saved.
